EYP ranked 2nd on Architect magazine's list of the nation's Top Green Design Firms and 22nd overall in The Architect 50, a prestigious list of top U.S. design firms. Firms from across the country submitted nominations to be considered for the magazine's ranking.

Companies included in the rankings were determined by a variety of factors, including profitability, ecological commitment, design quality, number of employees, and number of awards won in the past year. Instead of ranking solely on financials, the magazine's goal was to "recognize ecological commitment and design quality as much as profitability when measuring the country's very best architecture, A/E, and AEC firms."
