In collaboration with Helfand Architecture, EYP assisted Swarthmore College in expressing its strong commitment to the environment through the green design of an interdisciplinary science teaching and research facility. The resulting complex includes three renovated science buildings and a LEED-certified addition that unite the sciences and the science library. A sustainable facility, it seamlessly connects with the outdoors and provides a variety of spaces for informal interactions that carry learning outside classrooms and laboratories. Further, its unique design elements contribute to a structure that serves as a teaching tool, promoting awareness of human impact on the natural world and environmental responsibility.
