energy history
Since EYP first opened its doors in 1972, clients have been advised on how to conserve energy and save valuable energy dollars. Our early commitment to energy efficiency resulted in recognition from Scientific American and the prestigious Owens Corning Energy Conservation Award.
In the late seventies, EYP authored energy audit guidelines for the State of New York. Nearly 30 years later, EYP still works with NYSERDA to provide energy audits, LEEDTM consulting, and integrated architecture and engineering design services.
Throughout our history, we have shown owners and facility managers how to save more than more than one-half billion dollars in energy costs. Our clients have ranged from small corporations to mid-size universities to large government agencies. A representative project is a systematic energy audit for 330 US Coast Guard facilities on the East Coast—the largest federal energy conservation project ever given to a single A/E firm.
Over the years, our energy services and expertise has grown considerably to include Energy Design, commissioning, design/ build delivery and strategic energy master planning.
