On November 20th, Newark Science Park High School – an urban magnet high school created to transform the teaching and learning of mathematics, science, and technology – celebrated the grand opening of its new EYP-designed, 1,200 student facility. The 275,000-sf sustainable school is located in close proximity to science incubators and colleges, facilitating relationships between high school students and the scientific community. Ceremony attendees members of the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation and New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, who stated, “The state-of-the-art resources offered at the new Science Park High School will give Newark's students additional opportunities to learn, grow, be challenged, and access the promise of New Jersey." He continued, "I'm proud that we’re investing in our schools, and reinvesting in Newark's future."
