The article, “Little Green Schoolhouses” in the January issue of one of the industry’s most respected magazines, Architectural Record, featured EYP project Newark Science Park High School. Part of the magazine’s “Schools of the 21st Century” series, the article explored the benefits, challenges, and keys to creating high-performance, energy and cost-efficient, sustainable schools. Along with the image of Science Park High School, located in Newark, New Jersey, the article mentions that the innovative facility allows students to observe sustainable features – including photovoltaic panels and geothermal and energy-recovery systems – firsthand, providing students with a unique and innovative learning experience.
