The February 18th and February 25th broadcasts of Fox 23 Albany’s NanoNow news program featured a four-segment interview with EYP President and CEO Tom Birdsey. During the discussion, in which host Steve Janack said that “EYP’s work is critical to 21st-century design,” Birdsey enlightened the viewing audience about many important topics, including energy efficiency, sustainability and how to maintain green buildings, as well as the challenges associated with incorporating security and technology requirements into a variety of building types. He also provided an extensive overview of the prestigious work EYP is doing – and has done – around the world, including the renovation of the General Assembly at the United Nations, work for many embassies worldwide for the U.S. Department of State, and projects for numerous colleges and universities around the country. Additionally, the interview highlighted EYP’s new partnership with the University of Albany’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering: the creation of the National Institute for Sustainable Energy.
