On April 11th at the 2007 TurnKey Conference in Boston, MA, EYP Science & Technology Principal and marine laboratory design expert Keith Bailey, along with Florida International University Director of Marine Biology Christopher Brown, presented, “Designing Contextual Marine Animal Labs for Seawater Environments”. The discussion explored the challenges of, and opportunities for, designing an enduring, impact-resistant, marine laboratory facility in coastal environments. Bailey and Brown’s presentation also delved into numerous case studies, lessons learned, and cost/schedule benchmark analyses from a variety of higher education and government marine laboratory projects.
