EYP Staff Members Participate
in Community Service Day
Recently, more than twenty employees from EYP’s Albany, NY and Washington, DC locations participated in annual community work days, “Hands On Capitaland,” and “Hands on DC”. For the third year in a row, members of EYP’s Albany office raked, weeded, and planted new flowers at the Center for the Disabled Clover Patch Camp, all in time for this year’s campers. Sponsored by the United Way of Northeastern New York , this year’s program included more than 700 volunteers. At the Hands On DC event, several EYP employees created a 65-foot-long outdoor mural – featuring notable monuments from around the world – at Whittier Elementary School in northwestern Washington , DC . An all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that conducts annual citywide work-a-thons, Hands On DC’s goal is to improve the physical condition of Washington, DC schools, while at the same time, raising funds to support local scholarship programs and encouraging community involvement.
