Several members of EYP recently taught a class on Energy Efficiency at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The class, made up of students from engineering, architecture, and environmental science disciplines, aimed to help RPI prepare for the 2009 Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon. EYPers Brian McVoy presented various techniques of computerized energy modeling used to predict energy performance of structures and energy consuming systems, while Bob Kennedy discussed economic aspects of energy including details on how electrical energy is purchased.
