The EYP/Forrester Construction Company design-build team was recently selected to renovate the U.S. Naval Academy's Nimitz Library, located in Annapolis, MD. The fast-track, phased project includes an overall renovation of 70,000 square feet of office and education spaces in three separate buildings: Nimitz Library, Mahan Hall, and Ricketts Hall. Scheduled for completion in 2008, the majority of work involves HVAC and electrical upgrades, as well as interior demolition, replacement of interior finishes, interior partitioning, replacement of complex systems, lighting upgrades, and renovation of fire protection and alarm systems. This project marks the second EYP/Forrester project at the U.S. Naval Academy, and the design-build team's fourth project for the U.S. Navy.
