This past October, at the Traditional Building Fall Conference in Boston, EYP Principal Mark Thaler, AIA, and Associate Daniel Lazraz, P.E., presented, "Weaving New Systems Into Historic Structures: No Room for Error". Thaler gave another presentation on the same topic, along with EYP Principal and Director of Engineering Peter Ottavio, P.E., at the AIA New York State Conference. Both discussions explored the unique challenges of renovating historic structures, including the coordination of HVAC systems crucial for the restoration of buildings not originally designed to accommodate 21st-century requirements.
