The General Electric Corporation recently selected EYP to renovate Building 53 on its Schenectady, NY campus. The existing 213,000-square-foot manufacturing facility will be completely transformed into a LEED-certified corporate office space, with a 24x7 data and monitoring center to house more than 550 engineers in the company?s renewable energy division. The building will also receive new exterior skin, windows, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems. Once complete, the building will contain the new GE Energy wind power headquarters, and will serve as a state-of-the-art wind customer service center. This project is one of more than a dozen completed by EYP for GE, and further solidifies the 20+ year relationship between the two.
