EYP Architect Showcasted at
International Conference
EYP Architect David Foxe recently presented, "Stabilizing Support Conditions and Design Quality Through Tectonic Overlap," at the Tectonics Making Meaning conference in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The well-attended discussion traced the intersection of tectonics both below and above ground, and how support conditions can form foundations for meaningful understanding of design based on strategies and metaphors of overlap. Additionally, Foxe explored strategies for making the invisible constraints of support conditions perceivable as positive meaning-laden contributions to design quality, and provided examples of current projects in the United States and the Netherlands, demonstrating ways these strategies intertwine with the surface tectonics of contemporary landscape urbanism.
