Principal and Historic Preservation Expert
David Fixler contributed an article about the General Services Administration (GSA) for “The Innovative Client” feature of Architecture Boston’s November/December 2007 issue. The article discussed the myriad ways the GSA (a frequent EYP client over a period of many years) serves as a model of innovation, including the implementation of the Design Excellence Program, extensive research and public outreach efforts, production of a body of literature on the history and significance of its buildings, and sensitivity in dealing with the legacy of mid-century Modernism. Fixler also explored the process by which GSA projects are formulated, solicited, and administered.
