College and University Student Union Design Experts Erik Johnson and Carter Reich, along with William Clutter of Florida State University , presented, “Mixing It Up! Creating Synergy through Satellite Unions and Mixed-Use Facilities” at the Association of College Unions International’s annual convention in New Orleans . The presenters explored numerous topics, including how institutions can create satellite unions, and how to create mixed-use unions combining academic, recreation, student services, and residential uses. Additionally, they discussed the design and operation of these types of facilities.
