He is an expert in the sensitive insertion of new systems, providing modern technology and environmental control while maintaining and celebrating the historic qualities of the building. He is a frequent presenter at conferences and associations such as the Traditional Building Conference and the Association for Preservation Technology, lecturing on issues of design in historic, modern and landmark buildings, as well as having taught university courses on related subject matter.
