This renovation and expansion created a unified science complex that reflects both the rich history of the College and its place as one of the leading undergraduate science programs in the country. A 40,000-sf addition connects the grouping of four buildings that house the sciences and creates a four-story atrium between the existing and new construction. The dramatic architectural shapes and natural light of the atrium make it a destination of choice for the entire campus community. In the existing building, 176,000-sf were renovated, including mechanical and electrical systems. The project is LEED certified.
