Mason & Haven Hall form the Western edge of the University of Michigan's main South campus quad known as the "Diag". A programming study completed by EYP for Mason & Haven Halls resulted in the determination that additional space was required in order to fulfill the buildings programming needs. EYP used this as an opportunity to create a whole new image for the building by adding a twenty-five foot deep, full-length addition to Haven Hall. The addition provides the needed floor space for faculty offices and new connections to each floor of Mason Hall. The new lobby joins Mason and Haven halls and features a one hundred foot long curving clear glass media and notice posting wall for students.
