The revival of The Palace, a 2,800-seat RKO theatre dating to the 1930s, began with a phased master plan. Implementation of the first phase, designed and completed in just 5 months, restored interior finishes and some exterior architectural elements; repaired the building envelope; improved patron facilities; upgraded critical mechanical and electrical systems; and refurbished the original seating to its appearance in 1930. The second phase, the recreation of the original, 1930 marquee, is currently underway. An addition expanding the stage house will be carried out in the final phase of the renewal of this National Register theatre.
