This 75,000-sf residence hall, a gift of John I. Blair, was designed by Cope and Stewardson Architects and constructed in 1896. When first constructed, the main tower served as an entry portal to the campus. This renovation of the four-story structure reclaimed unused space in the basement and attic to create lounges, bathrooms, and bedrooms. It also remodeled the bedrooms and communal areas and provided completely upgraded mechanical, electrical and data systems. The exterior restoration repaired or replaced historic masonry, windows, and roofs.
